I’m really excited to get to share one of my favorite couples – Logan and Christian, from Thianna D.’s All They Ever Needed trilogy. There are so many things I love about these stories. For one, they present a unique twist on the dichotomy of discipline relationships versus erotic spanking/BDSM relationships. I won’t say more because it would ruin the surprise, but it’s one of my favorite things about this series. For another, they have a great supporting cast of friends and family. Of course, what’s not to like about two hot guys so very much in love, anyway. 🙂 Enough telling you about them though, I’ll let you see for yourself.

Thanks, Ruth, for featuring my two men Logan & Christian and their DD romance trilogy All They Ever Needed on your blog today.

All They Ever Needed is a set of three books – As Natural As Breathing, Took My Breath Away, and Breathe Each Other In – chronicling the romance between Logan Mannette and Christian Darringer.

Logan is sweet, outgoing, gregarious, and loves everyone he meets. In his junior year in college, he figures the only thing missing is the love of his life. Christian has just returned from Afghanistan, war-torn and unsure of who he really is. Meeting and being attracted to Logan are not on his agenda. Each of the books in the series ends happily, but while the first two are HFN (happily for now), it isn’t until the third book that they get their HEA (happily ever after). The books should be read in order.

Having to pick a ‘favorite’ scene from the three 72k novels isn’t easy and I finally gave up trying to pick ‘the’ favorite and just chose one of my faves. Hope you enjoy this excerpt. While Christian’s parents say they are happy with his relationship with Logan, this scene between Christian and his father Joel shows him just how much.

Joel turned and paused before turning back. “Walk with me for a second?”

Looking up at his father in surprise, Christian nodded, made a note of where he was in the plans, before following his dad out of the office. They walked across the street to get a coffee before heading to the small park next door that sat across from the Capital Theater. “Anything wrong?” Christian asked when his father did not say anything.

Joel shook his head. “No. Nothing is wrong. I did want to ask something though, and I feel stupid.”

“I have at one time or another asked your brothers the same thing. It should be no different with you and yet… for some reason I am finding this harder.”

Confused, Christian just waited.

“Your mother and I adore Logan,” he said quietly. “I don’t even think you know how much. He is sweet, kind, and has made you happier than I think you have ever been.”

A slow trickle of fear began to go down Christian’s back. What was his dad getting at? Were his parents not as okay with them as a couple as he thought they were? “Dad, spit it out, you’re scaring me.”

Stopping by one of the large art pieces, Joel turned toward him, placing his hand on Christian’s shoulder. “With each of your brothers, your mom and I set aside a portion of money to help with things like a wedding or honeymoon or a house for them and their spouses. But we always asked first before we did anything so presumptuous to see if that particular partner was someone they could see themselves marrying. So, what I am trying to ask is if you think you see this thing with Logan going in that direction. ’Cause if so, we will start up the account. And,” he hastened quickly, “if things did not go that way, you could use the money for something else. It’s just… you and he are incredibly happy, and if you are headed in that direction we want to help.”

Tears sprang into Christian’s eyes and he dropped his coffee as he yanked his father into a hug. “Thanks, Dad,” he murmured, unable to say more.

As an extra to the excerpt, I also decided to add the poem that ends the series.

As natural as breathing

From the day that they met,

They took each other’s breath away

This incredibly perfect duet.

Breathing each other in

Expectations they exceeded,

Knowing that together they were

All they ever needed.

As Natural As Breathing:

For Christian Darringer, life isn’t worth living. Just back from the Middle East; scarred and with permanent damage to one leg, he does not think anyone will want him for anything. Meeting a gorgeous man he finds himself thinking about constantly is not in his plans. Pulled toward the startling younger man with striking blue eyes, he begins to question a lot of things – especially his sexuality. Not one to hide from a challenge, he plunges ahead only to find himself more than just attracted to Logan who is full of life and joy, he finds himself head over heels in love.

Logan Mannette has almost everything he ever wanted: loving parents, happiness, friends and security. The only thing missing is finding the love of his life, a love that is just like his parents’. When he meets Christian at a party, everything changes. Instantly attracted, he does his best to help this sad man and quickly finds himself feeling more than he has ever felt before. Raised in a domestic discipline household, he holds that ideal as what he wants but his interest in spanking became a fetish and when Christian admits that he wants to be spanked, Logan believes he might have found the perfect man.

Just as everything begins for them, Christian’s past intercedes and one of his brothers makes waves about him dating a man. If it weren’t for Logan’s support, he might fold; but with the love of one amazing man, Christian finds that living his life rather than just existing is as natural as breathing.

Took My Breath Away:

Sometimes taking control is what you need to do and sometimes the best thing you can do is give that control up.

In the summer between Logan’s junior and senior years of college, these two will find out more about each other and themselves than they imagined.

While unhappy to be missing four weeks of Christian’s company, Logan is thrilled to spend a month with his father’s relatives in New York. A naturally gregarious individual, he is used to winning people over and getting things right. Unfortunately, the Mannettes are not what he expects and for the first time in his life, he finds himself seriously doubting who he is.

Christian has regained some of his old self-esteem and is taking on new challenges. Besides growing in the relationship he has with Logan, he takes the time his boyfriend is away to learn more about domestic discipline. He learns a little online but it is actually Gregory, Logan’s father, where he gains most of his information. Including the fact that his natural strength puts him in a leadership position he isn’t expecting.

When Logan returns to a strong, self-assured Christian, it is with complete relief. As discussions turn to domestic discipline and they realize their true roles within their current and future relationship, both of them are able to let their inhibitions go and together their connection grows surprising Logan to an epiphany.

Breathe Each Other In:

While the outside world might try to undermine them, Logan and Christian’s relationship just grows stronger. In this, the final part of the All They Ever Needed trilogy, their lives take an unexpected turn.

Christian takes to heart everything he learns from Logan’s father and as he and Logan go forward in their DD relationship, he finds that he is willing to not just take on the mantle of Head of House, but to embrace it. With Logan graduating from college, Christian takes the next logical step and asks his boyfriend to move in.

Even with the stress of student teaching and trying to figure out what to do after graduation, Logan leaps at the chance to live with the man he loves. As the pressure of graduation begins to get to him, the only thing to keep him grounded is the amazing man at his side.

Those closest to them make huge changes in their own lives and when an unexpected job offer lands in Logan’s lap, the two have to make a life altering decision. No matter which way they go, they need to give something up. Play it safe and stay home or accept the job and move away from their families? When it comes to decision time, there is one thing they are not willing to part with. That one thing makes all the difference in the world.

Author Bio:

Thianna likes to say she’s eclectic, fun, and just a bit naughty. She writes erotic romance with both M/F and M/M main characters. No matter what she writes, all the hot scenes support the story instead of the other way around. More and more, she tends to say she writes romance with a high heat level as the focus is on the couple more than the actual steamy sex.
