Ruth Staunton was in middle school when she had an epiphany that people actually wrote all of those books she had been devouring at breakneck speed from the time she learned to put letters together on a page. When that lightbulb came on, so did all the voices in her head. She has been transcribing the tales they tell her ever since. After all, it’s cheaper than therapy and a lot more fun. Before she became a published writer, she went back to her roots in middle school — this time as a teacher. The 10 years she spent navigating the adolescent jungle gave her plenty of experiences as well as persistent coffee habit.
Now that she’s found her way out of that jungle, Ruth masquerades as a crazy cat lady in a tiny town in the Southeastern US. Initially, she intended to write mainstream category romance but a penchant for alpha males found her taking a sharp left turn into spanking/domestic discipline romance. It’s been a crazy ride but one she is thoroughly enjoying. When she’s not writing, she reads, binge watches crime dramas and volunteers with orphan care charities.
